- Kate began the transition to adulthood as a schoolteacher, turned technical writer, then stay-at-home mom. She actively searched for a successful creative outlet, and found so much that she loved. She has recently gone back to teaching high school English, and loves [almost] every moment of it. Kate enjoys fiddling in her garden, making something out of nothing, and eating port wine cheese. She dislikes doing busy-work, sub-zero temperatures, and chocolate. She is also a firm believer that all the commas that fall before the word “and” in this paragraph do, in fact, belong.
