It's that time of year when I start dreaming Advent Calendars. Aren't these Advent Elves from fjorn scandinavian the most delicious things you have ever seen? I would be so obnoxious with the thank-yous if one of these ended up under my Christmas tree (or my Thanksgiving tree*, so I could enjoy it this year ...) .
Speaking of delicious, don't you want to eat up this Matryoshka Advent Calendar from thymbyl designs?
What a fantastic idea. One year you could string it up and hang it around a mantle, the next on your stairway. Got an archway? String it up with some garland and hang it across, or along a windowsill. Or even on your Christmas tree. My brain is just spinning!
Finally, here is one you could easily make yourself (or buy it if you don't want to take the time). I found it at Galaxy Scraps. It isn't a traditional advent calendar in the sense that you get a surprise every day, but it's cute and it works.
* For the record, I don't actually have a Thanksgiving tree. That would have to be a whole other post. Just imagine, turkey, cranberries, and stuffing oozing from a tree ...
